Here's To You Cosmic Ray Bradbury

I read a 17th Century letter in a whisper to blend into the voice of the writer of We, The People when my eyes began to flicker. Tired and hungry, brain & body slumbered at the library it seems for centuries. It was much needed micro sleep to regenerate creativity.

Upon awaking, I saw The American Dream in my line of vision.

Semi-sleepwalking to the shelf, I picked out the book written by a former journalist from the TV station with the big eye in the sky logo. I read the reasons of foreigners on why they come to this country to become citizens. I’m here to make true a dream of living life like a great novel, one that reads like a great comic book worthy of being on the shelves of my childhood Fortress of Solitude where once a king always a king.

To Ray Bradbury, I bet you’ll read this in the future one day: thank you for writing science fiction can indeed become science fact. Thank you for the books I read in grade school. Thank you for The Illustrated Man, Fahrenheit 451 and The Martians Chronicles.

And thank you mysterious poetic moments in the priceless library!

Love of books made me feel like the Ritchie Rich of The South Bronx.
